Freedom

So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law. (Galatians 5:1 NLT)


What does it mean to be free? It means that you have choices. It means that you are not being controlled by someone else. Our freedom in Christ means that we don't have to be controlled by Satan or by religious rules put into place by people who want to control you. You have a relationship with God. Rules become necessary when relationships fail. Are your relationships -- both with God and with people -- based on rules or on trust and faithfulness? Love God and love other people. Those are the rules that Jesus said are most important to follow.
